Not only is it quick and easy, it is absolutely DELICIOUS!
INGREDIENTS:
1 Loaf of French Bread (or Ciabatta)
3 Medium Celery Stalks
8 oz. Mushrooms (I buy pre-sliced)
1 Stick Butter
1 - 2 Bunches Green Onion
2 Cups Chicken Broth
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut your loaf of bread into 1 inch cubes and arrange in a single layer on a sheet pan. Toast bread cubes in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
2. Chop celery, mushrooms, and green onion into desired sizes. * I love to buy pre sliced mushrooms and use kitchen shears to cut my green onions to save me time and frustration!
3. In a large pan or Granite Ware Roaster melt the stick of butter. Add your chopped green onion, celery, and mushrooms along with your seasonings to the pan and saute until soft.
4. Add toasted bread cubes to the pan and mix with the veggies. Pour 2 cups of chicken broth evenly over the mixture.
5. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, then remove cover until golden brown.
